I want to teach YOU how to play guitar!

As a musician who is equal parts singer-songwriter, lead guitarist, and session player, I am used to engaging with a wide variety of styles and musical contexts and I am ready to help you regardless of where you are in your journey with this instrument.

I am not the sort of teacher who will teach you what I want you to learn.

I want to help you achieve YOUR goals!

Want to get some killer solo chops?

I can help with that!

Want to sing and play at the same time?

I can help with that!

Want to start writing songs?

I can help with that!

Want to learn about recording yourself, stage performance, funk, blues, rock, jazz, fusion, folk, pop, theory, jamming, right hand technique, finger picking, practice routines, goal setting, and so much more?

I can help with that!

Beginners

I think one of the most important things a teacher can do when you’re starting out is to get you having fun as soon as possible. I won’t give you a laundry list of things to practice until you want more to work on!

Intermediate Players

Let’s dig into the nitty gritty of how to get playing with a little more feel and how to start tapping into the guitar as an extension as yourself. I will keep you accountable by encouraging challenging but attainable repertoire that will keep you improving as a player.

Advanced Players

You may not need regular lessons but I do have a collection of exercises and approaches to scale and chord construction that I think you may find very helpful to add to your personal practice and keep you on the right side of the learning curve.

Now, I’ll be honest, if you are looking to play metal, classical, bluegrass, or bebop I am probably not your guy...
